As a career inspector, I am qualified to inspect all flooring materials, and I am 100% committed to flooring inspections. Because Career inspectors understand how a conflict of interest can cost their client in arbitration or court, their only business is flooring inspections- they are not flooring installers, retailers or salespeople.
My education and experience have evolved into the forensics of Resilient Sheet Vinyl, Luxury Vinyl Tile and Planks, Laminate, Hardwood, and Ceramic Tile. The most demanding field of study and the most comprehensive inspections are performed on Hardwood flooring and Ceramic tiles. Hardwood Flooring Inspections require extensive knowledge of Wood Science, while Ceramic Tile Inspections require a complete understanding of installation procedures and ANSI Standards.
I have been in the Wood business for over 40 years. I have a broad experience in the Commercial Building Materials, Residential Building Materials, Floor-Covering and the Manufacturing Industry. I have proven abilities in Sales and training salespeople at all levels and proven abilities in training and endorsing professional installers.
I have managed all aspects of operating wholesale building materials distribution centers. I have developed new sales initiatives and programs for retail building materials companies and for Industrial & manufacturing companies. I have also developed and implemented sales, marketing, telemarketing and advertising strategies to establish and maintain customer, supplier and employee relations.
I manage Sales & Marketing efforts for a major North American importer, emphasizing flooring products and their development and supporting an extensive distribution network. I support sales personnel and enhance customer relations. I was involved in developing new products for the flooring industry through technology and foresight. I assisted a Major Manufacturer with an innovative underlayment product and program that were initiated throughout North America, and successful relationships with major retailers and wholesalers in Canada and the USA were achieved. I also write specifications and installation instructions for Manufacturers concerning wood underlayments by request and where needed.
As a certified Hard Surface Independent Flooring inspector, I am qualified to inspect all complaints and deficiencies on any species of solid, engineered bamboo, hardwood and all Vinyl products. I have been trained and certified by N.W.F.A. (National Wood Flooring Association), FCITS (Floor Covering Inspector Training Services) and the NALFA (North American Laminate Flooring Association). I have been certified by the Institute for Floor Covering Inspectors International (I.F.C.I.I.) I also have been certified by the Floor Inspectors Educational Guild specializing in The Science of Inspecting Ceramic Tile Flooring. I am certified with CFIU.
