Wayne has been in the flooring business since 1978. He owned and operated a Retail flooring store in Calgary. In 1996 he was asked to launch Pergo Laminate across Canada. He helped write and formulate the training and inspection criteria needed for this new product category. In 1983 he became a certified flooring mechanic through N.A.I.T. in Edmonton, AB.He became a certified carpet inspector in 1993 and a certified hard surface inspector in 2004 with FCITS. In 2018, he became a Master Certified Inspector and is currently the only inspector in Canada with this designation.Wayne also completed training with IFCI. He recognized that the NWFA hardwood inspector program was the pre-eminent hardwood organization, in the industry so he became a NWFA certified inspector and a NWFA Certified installer. He has also completed all modules with the NWFA University.Wayne took an additional Advanced Hardwood inspection course with Brinkman Consulting.Wayne is a Master Certified Inspector for the NFCA-National Flooring Covering Association Canada and has been one of their featured presenters, at their flooring educational seminars, regarding moisture and its effects on all flooring categories.He became a certified concrete moisture tester with IFTI and continually takes upgrading courses to maintain his credentials.Wayne is recognized as an expert in his field and is regularly contacted to be an expert witness for the court system and as a consultant for flooring and concrete projects.Wayne continually upgrades his credentials by taking different training modules to ensure he is up to date with their current standards and guidelines.
