IICRC #113994 Certified in carpet inspections and subfloor inspections.
FCITS – Took their commercial inspection flooring class in 2009.
I’ve been to Shaw’s commercial installation schools a couple times for carpet, once for LVT.
I started in the flooring industry in 1998 selling flooring; from one of the most knowledgable retail owners I’ve ever met to this day. I continued to sell/specify flooring for 15 years. During that time I learning to repair and install carpet. I specialized in complicated seams and patterns and had a knack for it naturally. I became a carpet inspector in 2006 mostly out of frustration due to a lack of common sense from the floor inspector that worked in our retail area that carpet mills were sending. It was a good choice and my career path really changed.
In 2009 I started doing color repairs for mills and got noticed by an international church who contracted me to fix color issues on their carpet in their highest end building across the world.
I did wood flooring for several years but found I don’t have quite the passion for it that I do for carpet inspections. I stopped doing those and re-focused on commercial and residential carpet.
Currently I own a large carpet cleaning company in Tucson Arizona and do flooring inspections part time.
