Summary
Bond loss in tile installations occurs when ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone tile no longer maintains effective adhesion to the bonding mortar, the supporting substrate, or within the mortar layer itself. The condition reflects separation occurring somewhere within the bonded assembly rather than a single isolated material failure.
