Color loss
Presence of Benzoic Acid
Test for the presence of a derivative of Benzoyl Peroxide (Acne medication) which has a detrimental effect on coloration in many textiles. Benzoyl Peroxide causes a yellow/lightning of darker colors and is irreparable. The test can be done via HPLC or reagents.
Note the definitive handprint shapes on the samples. B.P is found in acne medications and can cause discolorations when heat and moisture are applied.
