What you need to know
Foreign Yarns can occur when yarn of a different color, fiber type, texture, or denier gets mixed in with the yarn being used to manufacture the carpet. A foreign yarn normally appears running in the length direction but it can also appear in clusters, zigzag patterns, or a single yarn. Some foreign yarns appear as small discolorations in the carpet.
