Charles was first Certified as a Flooring Inspector by FCITS in 1997 and is currently (since 2013) an IFCII Preferred and Certified Flooring Inspector, #144. His Certifications include: Hardwood, Laminate, Resilient (LVP and LVT), Ceramic Tile, and Carpeting (Commercial and Residential, Tufted and Woven, Hand-Tufted and Hand-Woven; utilizing Wool, Synthetics & Blends).
Education:
Charles graduated from Dalton High School, Dalton, GA (often referred to as the “Carpet Capital of the World”); earned a BTE (Bachelor of Textile Engineering) degree from Georgia Tech; Atlanta, GA, and an MBA (with Honors) from the University of South Carolina; Columbia, SC.
Charles was previously Certified as a Quality Engineer by ASQ (American Society for Quality) and was also previously Registered as a Professional Quality Engineer by the State of California.
Experiences:
Charles has more than 50 Years of Flooring Experience, which includes; Applications Research of Carpet Performance Parameters (and Cleaning Techniques) for Natural and Synthetic Fibers and Yarns. Manufacture of Nylon Fibers and Yarns for Commercial and Residential Carpet Mills and the Manufacture and Sales/Marketing of those products to Flooring Retailers.
Charles has also functioned as a Business Consultant to Domestic and International Flooring Manufacturers; to Architect, Designer, Homeowner, and Building Owner and Manager Clients with regard to Flooring Products, including; Bamboo, Hardwood, Ceramic Tile and various LVP and other Resilient Flooring Products, in addition to all types of Carpeting, since 1997.
