Evan Lauridsen specializes in providing flooring inspection services to the flooring and related industries, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, installation contractors, builders, insurance companies, property managers, government, and institutions as well as end-users. Evan’s extensive background in the flooring industry consists of over 5 decades. A true CSI (Construction Scene Investigator) flooring forensics expert by heart, Evan does not believe in leaving any stone unturned. He spends considerable time out on the jobsite, conducting both exhaustive and comprehensive inspections for purposes of determining the actual problem, its real cause(s), both primary and secondary (where obtainable) and when requested, its corrective solution(s). When it comes to his report, you’ll never be left in the dark as Evan does not believe in one sentence reports as some offer. His reports, while concise and to the point, are filled with pertinent data and information to support his conclusions. It’s an extreme rarity Evan receives a call asking to “explain” his reports as they are written for the perceived audience in mind. He has also taught inspection report writing to inspectors at the inspection schools concentrating on the 5 W’s of report writing (the Who, What, Where, When, and most importantly, the Why’s). Once you utilize Evan for your inspection, consulting, or training needs, you’ll never need another inspector. Evan maintains multiple certifications in flooring and subfloor inspection in carpet, resilient, laminate, wood, ceramic and concrete moisture testing from leading organizations who certify such individuals. His past manufacturing experience and labeled as a “functional expert” by past managers and spanning nearly 30 years in carpet, resilient, wood, laminate, mortars, grouts, moisture remediation, crack isolation, surface preparation and adhesive products provides you with a leading edge in inspection, especially for those all too important second inspections.
